Beautiful year-round weather is only part of the reason FlightSafety Academy Vero Beach is the optimal place to begin your flight training. The Florida skies offer nearly 320 days per year suitable for flight training, and more than 25 percent of all FAA licenses are issued through the Orlando Flight Standards District Office (FISDO).
But Vero Beach’s unique location and amenities make it the superior choice. With 137 airports statewide, our location offers a wide range of operational scenarios and no landing fees. Our 20-building campus is located minutes away from the beach and the Indian River. Some of the best places to surf, paddleboard and dive are located nearby, including coral reefs just off the coastline. The campus is conveniently located between Orlando and West Palm Beach, and just a short drive to Miami and the Florida Keys for an easy weekend getaway.
Cadets enjoy FlightSafety Academy’s comprehensive campus, situated on 30 acres. Recreational facilities such as a pool, soccer field, sand volleyball court and full-court basketball are available, as well as a recreation room. Pilot vending cafés with fresh food are available on-campus, and all cadets have access to the pilot shop with books and supplies available as needed.
On-campus housing is available, but not required, for cadets. The on-campus dormitory is an easy walk to ground school and Flightline facilities. All units are fully furnished, including a refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi and housekeeping. Each room is offered at multiple occupancy on a first-come, first-served basis. Talk to your admissions officer about full housing options.
“Living and training in Vero Beach, with its charming environment and warm and friendly people, has been an enriching experience!”Shane, FlightSafety Academy Cadet
