Admissions Requirements
To maintain our place as one of the world's most-respected flight schools, our admissions requirements, which are based on airline standards, include the following:

  • Proof of Education (Copy of high school diploma or higher)
  • Copy of FAA 1st Class Student Pilot Medical (To find an FAA Medical Examiner go to www.faa.gov or www.flightphysical.com)
  • Copy of Student Pilot/Flight Certificates
  • Seven-Year Driving Record (Check with your local DMV)
  • Copy of U.S. Passport
  • Certified Copy of Birth Certificate (must show original copy of either birth certificate or passport at orientation)
  • Copy of Driver's License
  • $150.00 Application Fee* (To download the required forms go to Authorization Letter and Payment Information)
  • $2,350.00 Tuition Deposit* (To download the required forms go to Authorization Letter and Payment Information)

Permanent Resident Alien Card holders must apply to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), www.flightschoolcandidates.gov

Applying online is the fastest, easiest way to get started at FlightSafety Academy. You can also apply by submitting your application and other document requirements through email at academy@flightsafety.com, by fax at 772-564-7610 or by mail at 2805 Airport Drive, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.

All forms required by FlightSafety Academy to process your admission are available on this page.

You'll also need to submit a $150.00 application fee and $2,350.00 tuition deposit. The $150.00 Application fee is non-refundable. The $2,350.00 Tuition deposit is fully-refundable if for some reason you can not attend FlightSafety Academy. You may submit your money in the form of a check through mail, a wire transfer or by sending the Credit Card Authorization via fax or mail to us.
