Nancy Ritter
Center Manager

Nancy is originally from Long Island, New York. In October of 1992 she joined FlightSafety Academy as a student, later becoming a flight instructor. Nancy continued her career at FlightSafety Academy as a Program Manager, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot and currently remains the Director of Training for both Part 141 and 142 training. In May of 2013, Nancy was promoted to Center Manager.

Nancy received Air Force Officer training in Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Science and Management from St. Francis College of Brooklyn.

Michael Marks
Chief Instructor of FAA Programs

Michael is a Florida native. He joined FlightSafety in March of 2002 after completing his commercial and CFI ratings at the academy. Since that time, he has served the academy as Stage Check Instructor and received the nomination as "Best of the Best" in 2008. Additional responsibilities include Program Management for EASA and CAAC programs and as an Assistant Chief Flight Instructor for the FAR Part 141 Training. In May 2012, Michael was promoted to Chief Flight Instructor for all FAA Training at the academy.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Central Florida and lives locally with his wife and three children.

James Champley
Chief Instructor of EASA Programs

James joined FlightSafety Academy in 2005 and has held various positions such as Program Manager, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor and Assistant Director of JAA Programs. In 2007, he was selected for the "Best of the Best" instructor award, an award presented to FlightSafety International's top 50 Flight Instructors.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Michigan.

Craig Parham
Assistant Director of Training FAA Programs

Craig Parham is a native of Vero Beach and left the Air Force as an E-3 AWACS Mission Systems Specialist to return and attend FlightSafety Academy as a student. After completion of training, Mr. Parham was accepted into the Business Jet Direct Program at the Orlando Learning Center in the Cessna Citation 500 and 525 programs. He was then hired as a full time ground, simulator, and flight instructor in the Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza programs at the Lakeland Learning Center where he worked his way to Director of Training. Craig returned to the Academy in 2011 and serves as Assistant Director of Training for FAA Programs.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management and a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Administration, both from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and served as an Intern at the Transportation Safety Institute in Oklahoma City.

Don Doohen
Director of Aircraft Maintenance

Don started as an aircraft mechanic at FlightSafety Academy in 1977 and was named the 2001 FAA Orlando Flight Standards District Office Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year.

Alan Haaland
Director of Standards

Alan originally joined FlightSafety in May 1978 after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He began as a Flight Instructor and later held the positions of Assistant Director of Academics and Assistant Chief Instructor before assuming his current position.

Stephanie Timmerman
Center Sales Manager

Stephanie first joined FlightSafety Academy in July of 1999. She has held various positions within the Marketing and Sales Department such as Marketing Associate, Marketing Representative and Relationship Representative. Stephanie was promoted to Center Sales Manager in November of 2010.

Stephanie holds a degree in Business Management from Indian River State College and is one of the few true natives of Vero Beach.

Robin Meehan
Accounting Supervisor

Robin began her career at FlightSafety in 2008 as a bookkeeper. She was promoted to her current position as Accounting Supervisor in 2009. Prior to coming to FlightSafety, Robin worked in various accounting positions. Most recently, she was the Treasurer and Controller of a resort and marina, and held the position of Treasurer and Controller of a private Country Club. She has managed the accounting functions for medical operations, manufacturing companies, and worked as a staff accountant for an accounting firm.

Robin graduated from Bryant University in Rhode Island with a Cum Laude degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Angela Brandt
Teammate Resource Administrator

Angie is a Vero Beach native that first joined FlightSafety Academy in November of 1999. She has previously held the positions of Marketing Assistant and Admissions Coordinator and promoted to Teammate Resource Administrator in April of 2010.

Jennifer Seton
Immigration Coordinator

Jennifer started with FlightSafety in May of 2008 as a Marketing Assistant. Her responsibilities include managing marketing material, the Academy website and other graphic design work as it pertains to the Academy. In January 2010, Jennifer was promoted to Immigration Coordinator. Aside from her responsibilities within the marketing department, Jennifer is the Primary Designated School Official for SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) and the Designated School Official for TSA (Transportation and Security Administration). Her main responsibility is managing the visa process for all international students throughout their training career at the Academy.

Jennifer, originally from Vero Beach graduated on the Dean's List at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a minor in Advertising.

Mary Wood
Accreditation Supervisor

Mary has the responsibility to maintain the school's accreditation with ACCSC and the licensure with the Florida Department of Education Commission for Independent Education. She is the Veterans Administration Education Benefit official and the school's Financial Aid Administrator. She most recently became a QMS Internal Auditor.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. She is also a private pilot and has been publicly recognized with her husband for restoring an award winning antique bi-plane.

Sally Vasquez
Customer Support Representative

Sally began her career with FlightSafety Academy in April of 1999 as the Receptionist. She has held several positions with increasing responsibility including FAA Testing Proctor and Ground School Administrator. Sally currently serves as a Customer Support Representative assisting with student immigration and SEVIS needs and overseeing the dormitory scheduling and assignments.

Before coming to FlightSafety she worked for her father's company as a Receptionist and payroll administrator. Sally also attended Vero Beach High School.
