Our Professional Pilot Program

So, you want to learn more about becoming a career pilot. For starters, taking the Professional Pilot Program, a comprehensive training course, is a direction you may want to consider. Even if you have no experience, you can earn your Private Pilot Certificate, your Commercial Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings (as well as the Single Engine Add On to the Commercial Certificate) and your Instructor Certificates (CFI, CFII and optional MEI) in a structured and dedicated environment. The Professional Pilot Program can also be adjusted to fit your individual experience level. So if you have prior flight experience, you may be eligible for credit which can reduce training time and cost. (If you have prior experience, please complete the Student Review Form included in our Info Packet to have FlightSafety provide you with a training cost estimate.)

The Commercial Pilot Course includes academic classroom training taught by professional ground instructors, hands-on ground training (in the Academy's Frasca 142 flight training devices and our PCATD Lab), and extensive in-flight training. All airlines prefer a significant amount of multi-engine experience. And that is why this FlightSafety Academy program prepares you with at least 55 hours of multi-engine time with the initial instrument training in our Piper Seminole aircraft equipped with the Garmin 430 Navigation Systems, Moving Map GPS, VOR and Com.

As an Academy student, you want to be the best. You want training that exceeds your expectations. With specialized classes unique to the Academy, such as Crew Resource Management/Human Factors, Spin/Unusual Attitude Recovery, Spatial Disorientation Training and High Altitude Endorsement. The Professional Pilot Program not only exceeds most expectations, but also exceeds FAA minimum standards. Once you complete these courses and earn your commercial flight certificate, you can use your training to pursue your Instructor Certificate, enroll in the Advanced Airline Training Program or be part of our Business Jet Direct Track.
