Are you a Private/Instrument Pilot?
You're applying to the Academy and you already have your Private Instrument Rating (SEL). In that case, you are eligible to receive full credit for your previous flight training. However, the exact course content is dependent upon several factors. To obtain an accurate assessment of your current experience and the credit you may receive, please contact the Academy or complete a Student Review Form included in our Info Packet.

Academic Class Audit - If you already have a Private Pilot Instrument rating, you may be given the option of attending some of the applicable FlightSafety Academy academic classes at no charge. Contact us for details regarding eligibility.

As an Academy student, you want to be the best. You want training that exceeds your expectations. With specialized classes unique to the Academy, such as Crew Resource Management/Human Factors, Spin/Unusual Attitude Recovery, Spatial Disorientation Training and High Altitude Endorsement, the Professional Pilot Program not only exceeds most expectations, but also exceeds FAA minimum standards. Once you complete these courses and earn your Commercial Pilot Certificate, you can use your training to pursue your Instructor Certificate, enroll in the Advanced Airline Training Program or be part of our Business Jet Direct Track.
