Different Types Of Pilot TrainingThere are many different levels of pilot training that help people reach their aviation goals. People who simply want to fly small aircraft as a hobby can get their recreational private pilot's license for small aircraft , or PPL, in as little as a month. Private pilot training can begin at age 16, and only requires the basic flight prerequisites of course work, 20 hours flying with an instructor, and 20 hours solo. Commercial pilot training for larger aircraft can be completed in around six months. All pilots have to complete the initial basic pilot training and pass a medical exam, and no private pilot training licenses are given out until the student has reached age 17. They must also be 18 years of age to complete their commercial pilot training and become licensed. There is much more that goes into an international flight training academy, though, as these students are preparing to fly large numbers of people across vast expanses of water. After many more hours of training and experience, pilots can get their airline transport license at age 23. The first step to beginning any sort of pilot training is finding a reputable school, whether it is a recreational school or an international flight training academy. Private pilot training, commercial pilot training and airline transport training all require expert instruction. Whether a pilot plans on carrying two passengers, or 200 passengers, their cargo is precious, and they must be able to feel confident in their training. It is important to find a training academy that can help guide their students through the entire process, including all the fees and requirements along the way.
