Becoming A Commerical Airline Pilot

There are many requirements that go into becoming a commercial airline pilot. Being able to carry large numbers of passengers and a hefty staff is a big responsibility, so commercial airline pilot training aims to cover as many bases as possible.

The ingredients that make a commercial airline pilot are a commercial pilot license, and a certain level of flying experience. There are also some personal requirements other than training and hours of experience that make a commercial airline pilot, though. A person must also be 18 years old before becoming a commercial airline pilot, and they must be in good health.

That means not having any physical handicaps, and having perfect 20/20 vision without glasses. If these requirements are met, then a person can begin basic training. Then the real commercial airline pilot training begins with an instructor, in which the future pilot goes through different scenarios that might happen in the air. A future commercial airline pilot must be able to deal with emergencies before becoming a commercial airline pilot.

Other aspects of commercial airline pilot training include 250 hours of flying with an instructor, and instrument rating on the students' ability to fly using instruments. A student pilot must also undergo multi-engine rating before becoming a commercial airline pilot, which proves their ability to fly aircraft with two or more engines.

A commercial airline pilot must be fairly proficient with math and science, as well, because today's technology requires a certain level of technical expertise.
