Airline Pilots

Most people don't know it, but airline pilot training is separated in two categories: cargo airplanes or passenger airplanes. Airline pilots have a nice paycheck, but they are paid according to what type of aircraft they're flying. The advantage of being an airline pilot is that you have a whole staff that takes care of the plane; you only have to fly it.

Flying lessons are the first step in airline pilot training. After you get a degree, you will probably get easy jobs at small companies and on small aircrafts. After you earn some experience, you will be able to get better jobs. In most cases, airline pilot training begins with a computer simulator. Many hours must pass on a simulator before taking it to the skies. In some countries, most people get to do some airline pilot training because of their laws and each person has to fly at least once. But for those who are dedicated and want to become airline pilots, the process is a little more complicated.

Before the airline pilot training begins, the student must take some test. He must have good vision, good psychical and physical health and he has to be at least 18 years old. After basic on-land theory and a few simulator runs, an instructor will fly with the student for about 250 hours. During this time of the airline pilot training, the student will learn everything he needs to know, including the actual flying of an aircraft. At the end of the airline pilot training lessons, the student will receive a commercial pilot's license or certificate. There are many satisfactions in this business, but it is also considered a risky job.
