FlightSafety International, our parent organization owned by Berkshire Hathaway, was founded in 1951 by A.L. Ueltschi. A former airline and business aircraft pilot, Mr. Ueltschi saw the opportunity to offer aviation professionals the kind of proficiency training he received flying with the airlines and developed FlightSafety International to be the top choice for pilot training. Today, more than 75,000 aviation professionals train at FlightSafety facilities each year for commercial, business, military and private aviation.
